The basic step by step process is that we test for lead paint, if it comes back positive then we get a lead abatement contractor if we disturb more than 6 square feet of wall space per room. There are also some containment measures to make sure the less than 6 square feet of disturbed wall space does not go to another room in the house. Which includes partitioning off the room with plastic and cleaning all the dust off the walls before taking down the partition.
