The basic step by step process is that we test for lead paint: if it comes back positive then we get a lead abatement contractor but only if we disturb more than 6 square feet of wall space per room. There are also some containment measures to make sure the, lead from the, less than 6 square feet of disturbed wall space does not go to another room in the house. Which includes cleaning all the dust off the walls and floor before taking down a temporary partition.
